1st Witches Run a HUGE Success

The 1st Annual Salem Witches 5K Run & Children's Mile took place on Halloween morning at Salem Hills High School, and as race directors, we couldn't have been more pleased with how things went! Thanks to all of you who raced, and an especially BIG THANKS goes to all the parents, police officers, friends and strangers who helped out in so many ways to make it a great race! We couldn't have done it without you!

We had about 150 runners present on this BEAUTIFUL fall morning to run. We enjoyed seeing all your smiling faces as you crossed the finish line--especially all of you in your costumed apparel! We had some great costumes!

The overall winners (and winners of $50 gift certificates to MVP Sports) were Tyler Gebert in the men's race and Kaetlin Bracken in the women's race. Great Job to both! If you'd like to look at the race results, click HERE.

Our first ever Salem Witches Run is just around the corner!!! We are thrilled about the response we've seen from all of you who have signed up. We are looking forward to Saturday morning!

In order to ensure we are prepared to bring you a well-organized and exciting race on Saturday, we have closed our online registration site at this time. If you have not yet registered, no worries! Just show up Saturday morning and we'll get you all signed up there!

Salem's 1st Annual Witches Run

First, may we introduce ourselves. We are the Salem Hills High School Cross Country team in Salem, UT. We are starting our 2nd year in existence and have decided to start a new 5K in the area to try to promote the sport of distance running in this community, and as an opportunity to raise a little money for our program.

We are excited to host this race, and hope to have a great turnout! The race director, Bart Thompson, has several years experience in directing community 5K's, and we are confident this will grow into one of the great community runs in Utah County! We hope you join us.
